If it's a good belly filling breakfast/lunch/dinner and/or a pint or drink, then can't go wrong....especially if your staying at the Travelodge next door. Food and drinks....especially the coffee milkshake, were lovely. Would stop off again.

First visit to Herbie's after several trips back & forth on the A14. Once inside, American 50's music & a stylish diner seating interior - along with a young, friendly waitress greeted us, lending to itself an authentic experience from the start. My husband ordered a classic burger with bacon & cheese & fries; I had the BBQ Chicken with bacon & cheese, jacket potato & corn on the cob. Both meals were promptly served & great-tasting.For dessert, we decided upon the fresh, home-made cheesecake....it was the biggest, most value-for-money & nicest cheesecake we have ever tasted....we were SO glad we opted to share the dessert between us!In all, the meals were reasonably to well-portioned for their price & the ambiance was authentic. Would also like to thank Dave who waited on us for his friendly & welcoming manner & chat. Definitely intend to return for at least a call & collect order. Would totally recommend that anyone passing by either east or west on the A14, to make the effort to stop off & eat there. (we made the diversion heading back to Peterborough & it was well worth the extra mileage to get there)Looking forward to going back there again at some point.

Went here a few months ago as I read the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. There's a real diner vibe to this place with lots of American paraphernalia on the walls. There's a juke box playing old fashioned music you'd expect to find in a diner. The burgers are ace and the milk shakes are even better, reasonably priced too. There is parking outside the diner and the servers are really friendly, worth a visit

Basic American diner. Standard burger and hot dog menu. Food ok. Would have been better if they had the free coffee refills as per stereotypical diners. Staff friendly and efficient. Clean and convenient on the A14.

We spotted this Diner on our drive to Bury St Edmunds and on our way back decided to stop. What a great idea that was. The decor was great, the service was great, the music was great, and the food was GREAT. The portions were huge but we still ordered cheesecake for desert. I think my favorite thing was the corn dogs and the fact that we were able to get a box with the food we did not finish. Certainly will stop at again the next time we drive by.
